What I learned

1. What you knew about what we have done: Before taking this course, I had a basic understanding of how technology could be incorporated into education. I knew some educational software, online resources, and some teaching tools like interactive whiteboards or educational apps. 2. What you have learned: Throughout the course, I've gained insights into the various ways technology can enhance teaching and learning in the classroom. I've learned about using digital resources for language instruction, creating interactive lessons, incorporating multimedia content, and leveraging educational apps and platforms for language practice and assessment. 3. What is going to be the most useful for you? And the least? Why? The most useful aspect of this course for me is learning practical strategies and tools for integrating technology effectively into my language teaching. This includes understanding how to select appropriate digital resources, designing engaging online activities, and using technology for assessment and feedback. The least useful might be some of the more technical aspects of certain tools, especially if they're not directly applicable to language teaching. 4. What you have liked the most. What you have liked the least: I've particularly enjoyed exploring different digital tools and platforms that I can use to create dynamic and interactive language lessons. It's been exciting to discover new ways to engage students and enhance their learning experience. The least enjoyable aspect might have been any overly theoretical discussions that felt disconnected from practical application. 5. What you were able to do with technology when the course started and what you are able to do now: When the course started, I had some familiarity with basic educational technology tools and platforms. However, through the course, I've developed a much deeper understanding of how to effectively integrate technology into my teaching practice. I can now confidently create multimedia-rich lessons, design interactive activities, and utilize various digital resources to support language learning. 6. What you think teachers in general and language teachers in particular should know about technology: Teachers, especially language teachers, should recognize that technology is a valuable tool that can greatly enhance the teaching and learning process. They should understand how to select and utilize appropriate digital resources, integrate technology seamlessly into lessons, and leverage it to cater to diverse learning styles and needs. Additionally, teachers should stay updated on emerging technologies and continuously explore innovative ways to incorporate them into their teaching practice. 7. How you think this course has helped you to be a more effective teacher: This course has equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively integrate technology into my language teaching practice. I now have a deeper understanding of how to design engaging and interactive lessons, leverage digital resources for language instruction, and use technology for assessment and feedback. Ultimately, this will enable me to create more dynamic and student-centered learning experiences, leading to improved outcomes for my students.
